Unlike conventional X-ray/radiographic methods, the 3D CT allows for the creation of images that are high definition, three-dimensional, and extremely accurate. 3D CT images allow us to visualize critical anatomical structures and to understand your condition better. This type of visualization helps tremendously when making recommendations for treatment.

3D CT scanning may be necessary to determine the location and position of impacted teeth, characterize several different types of tumors, locate important nerves in the jaw, or evaluate cases of facial trauma. Unlike other doctors, we never place any dental implants without this kind of imaging.

Utilizing 3D cone beam CT scanning allows our surgical team to obtain important information for treatment without exposing our patients to the higher levels of radiation that come with conventional medical CT scanning technology.
