Dr. Becker was born and raised just outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate degree in
Biochemistry at Washington and and Lee University where he received the Johnson Scholarship and was accepted into the ODK National Leadership Honor Society. During college, he founded the W&L Pre-Dental Club and spent his summers mowing lawns in his neighborhood and surgically assisting in a local Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery office. He was accepted to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine as one of two Dean Scholarship recipients and later was accepted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society. He was elected President of the Pittsburgh ASDA Chapter and partnered with several classmates to establish a nonprofit organization, The Tooth Bank, to combat the illegal black-market trade of human teeth by providing an ethical, tax-deductible alternative.
He was accepted into the Christiana Care Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program in Wilmington, Delaware where he completed rotations in internal medicine, adult and pediatric anesthesia, general surgery, trauma surgery, critical care, plastic surgery, oculoplastic and facial cosmetic surgery, head and neck oncology, and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Professionally, Dr. Becker enjoys practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with particular interest in implant-based oral rehabilitation, dentoalveolar surgery, anxiety reduction using in-office sedation, facial trauma, and orthognathic surgery.
Personally, Dr. Becker enjoys spending time with his wife, Haley, and his son Henry. He enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, traveling both domestically and internationally, and volunteering with his Church community. Dr. Becker aims to visit every US National Park during his lifetime.
Dr. Becker’s combination of empathy and professional experience translates into personalized patient care for the local community of the Treasure Valley.
